Insurance Policy

 

Radio Communications Service will replace damaged routers and network interface cards that have been damaged due to electrical surges, lightning strikes, or other non-user caused damage.  This replacement policy will cover up to five (5) replacements / year.  (Note: Each item replaced will count as a single replacement.  If a router and a network interface card are replaced at the same time, it will count as 2 replacements)

 

Replacement Limitations:

 

Routers:

· Only routers that have been previously purchased from Radio Communications Service will be replaced.

· Replacement routers will be routers that Radio Communications Service is currently selling at the time of replacement.  Should the same make or model not be available, Radio Communications Service will replace the router with the current comparable model.

· Damaged routers, complete with all accessories, must be returned to Radio Communications Service before a replacement router is issued.  On-site service/replacement is NOT included as part of this insurance policy.

 

Network Interface Cards:

· Network interface cards only apply to desktop computers whereby a network interface card can easily be installed as an upgrade module.

· Radio Communications Service will not be responsible for any other hardware damage or data loss due to electrical power surges, lightning damage, or other damage inducing event.

· Laptop computers are specifically not included in this replacement insurance policy.  If a laptop computer is connecting to the internet via a cable, it is recommended that the cable be unplugged when not in use.

· Desktop computers that need a network interface card replacement must be taken to Radio Communications Service (927 N. Parkerson Ave, Crowley, LA) for replacement.  On-site service/replacement is NOT included as part of this insurance policy.

 

Other:

· Replacements will only be issued to customers whose account is current and in good standing.  Customers who have purchased insurance but have a past due balance must pay past due balance in full before replacement is issued.
